the most peaceful region of France I have ever visited. Charlotte and Alex
are the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them. Their local
knowledge is a real bonus. Charlotte's evening meals were wonderful, just what you need after a busy day and don't want to drive anywhere, just sit on the river bank with a nice bottle of wine and relax.' |

| We
stopped at the Moulin De Rongere for one night on our way to a longer stay
in Brittany (followed by a week in Lyon). We were weary from our transatlantic
flight, but had no problem finding the mill. Charlotte and her family were
totally hospitable and fulfilled our every need. The setting is extraordinary,
and from the little balcony I watched the sun rising over the Mayenne, breaking
through the mist on the river. Honestly, it was perfect in every way. I
hope we can return to the area soon so that we can spend much more time
exploring the Mayenne River area and the glorious towpath. |
